My dad had one of those Austin Montegos. A metallic brown 2.0 litre saloon with Beige interior. It wasn’t a bad car and you could throw it around quite a bit.

I’ve yet to see a Maestro or Montego in person. Probably won’t happen.

Given the rate at which the Montego in particular used to convert itself to a pile of iron oxide, probably not.

You’re still young, right? I’m not saying these were ever common (outside of the UK) but you did see them. Occasionally. In the 90s.
It’s been ages since I’ve seen one.

Pretty much every Austin-Rover car had that tendency. I mean, maybe the rust wasn’t as bad as it was in the BL years, but it did get pretty shocking. Hence why in North America (especially in Canada) you don’t see Sterlings anymore.

More cars need “TURBO” emblazened across the side. Especially family sedans.

TURBO makes everything better.

Yep, I pretty much can’t remember anything from the 90s except for maybe less than ten moments.

Holy crap they’re clean looking but that’s still a lot of money, at least for me.
